Launch of Moral Regeneration Movement

The Executive Mayor launched the Moral Regeneration Movement for the Siyanda District.
This movement was started in 2002 after a number of shocking crimes such as the rapes of babies, etc. At that stage the Deputy President was responsible for the movement and even now the Moral Regeneration Movement is the responsibility of the Deputy President of SA. The message that is being send is that moral regeneration is the responsibility of every South African. The Executive Mayor explained why the establishment of such a movement is necessary for the district; this will allow us to find ways to build a moral en ethical community and to promote positive values. 
A district committee was elected which will be responsible for the programmes of Moral Regeneration, they are:
1) Me. S.Z Mjila (Chairperson); 2) Rev. Pue (Coordinator: Tsantsabane); 3) Mnr. W. Filander (Coordinator: Mier); 3) Rev. B. Mafa (Coordinator: Siyanda) 4) Mnr. W. Maritz (Coordinator: Kheis); 5) Mnr. B. Jacob (Coordinator: Kai Garib); 6) Rev. P. Goeieman (Coordinator: //Khara Hais)
